I went to Yanaka last Saturday but I didn't see many cats ;__;

The result of the TOEIC test I took for free at my uni

IMG_6072diphone.jpg

I thought this was just the sample score and my score should be somewhere in other section, but this was my score.
And it is the maximum score.
LOL.

I didn't study at all, did not take this test seriously because ALL my foreigner friends told me that I don't need to study AT ALL, and I almost slept during the exam and missed a couple of information during the listening.......yet I still get full score.
Well, thank god I managed to stay awake and did all the questions.
This TOEIC is NOTHING compared to the TOEFL iBT I took in high school.
Is it because the Japanese standard for English is too low......??

I just googled the official website of TOEIC in Japanese, and the average score on the website is apparently only around 580......what.
Also, last time when I went visited a factory with my scholarship foundation, there was only one worker who scored like 635 for TOEIC and she got some kind of award for having scored more than 600 on TOEIC (yes, seriously), and this was proudly posted on the bulletin board.

If you take TOEIC also, you will know what I mean.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that I did not study at all.
All the English words that appear in the TOEIC are words that we normally use in daily life. Or at least, the ones we hear a lot on TV, news, books, etc. So, even if you don't study for this test, if you can speak English in your daily life or write blog entries in English with no problem, you will still get 900 at least!
I think all my friends from my high school will get 990.

I literally did not study. Nor did my foreigner friends who have taken this test and got more than 900.
Screw TOEFL iBT, IELTS,...whatever.
You'll suddenly feel that you are very smart (at least, smarter than most Japanese people) when you take TOEIC.
Congratulations, you're smarter than most people in this country. LOL

And I'm feeling good. At least for this. haha
Not for my Japanese. JLPT N1 is just a paper... sigh.
I know my English is okay. But my Japanese is not as good as my English.

Good bye, my 4s........ ;__;

I bought iPhone 6s and sold my 4s.
I also left Softbank and changed to au.

IMG_0962es.jpg

IMG_0963es.jpg

But now that I think of it........I sort of regret my decision.
I made this decision just because I thought my 4s was getting too slow and I needed a better phone camera.
I was just like
Fuck it, I need a change. I want better camera on my phone. I don't want to trouble myself looking for new charger for my 4s (cos the stupid charger kept getting broken and it's getting harder to find that kind of charger in stores)

But 6s is.........sigh.
Cool camera....but other than that I realize that I still prefer 4s.
I still like my 4s' case better too.
Also, the unlimited internet access plan Softbank had. (which they and au don't have for 6 and 6s....)
Damn.

Anyway......I still like the new phone nevertheless.

Koganei 10月22日

I walked around Koganei yesterday in the evening.
Unfortunately, it was cloudy...

Well, there is nothing particularly interesting there.
The leaves haven't changed color anyway in this time of the year.
I wanted to go to 江戸東京たてもの園 but I didn't have enough time.

Anyway I like the atmosphere there. It looks like a good place to live...it's very peaceful there.
I tried to follow this course http://koganei-kanko.jp/php/s_csb33.php

はけの森美術館.......This place is the place I wanted to go the most but it was closed already by the time I got there! T_T

IMG_0834es.jpg

So instead I took more pictures of random houses I passed. Sad.

IMG_0835es.jpg

ムジナ坂. When it gets dark, it is said that raccoon dog will play tricks on you in this slope back then......

A big field.

IMG_0845es.jpg

That's all.
I'm not really satisfied with this short trip, but oh well.....better than staying at home.

A friend's birthday that ended up in a mess

My friend celebrated his birthday two days ago and we had nomikai at an izakaya in Kabukicho...
Well, I didn't drink much though because of two reasons:
1. I had class in the next morning
2. I love mineral water more than any drink in this world, so if nobody forces me to drink I will only order 梅酒 and other alcohol shits that doesn't taste like beer (damn I really don't like 生ビール) so that I don't waste my 飲み放題 money

I was the one who arrived first.
My apartment is within walking distance from Kabukicho so I didn't want to use the train to go to Shinjuku.
I killed some time by playing UFO catcher and taking some photos...

IMG_6002es.jpg

I got 2!! (my only target was the cat though)

IMG_6001es.jpg

The birthday party finished in a mess.
One of our friends R drank too much (even though he had class at 9 in the next morning?? WTH was he thinking), got drunk, broke a couple of glasses, got wasted, pissed himself on the floor, and had to be carried home by taxi.
We sort of became the center of attention in Kabukicho because of him.
He's heavy. Five guys were needed to carry him.
LOL

Damn I have nothing else to say.
Glad I never become like that. Glad I generally hate alcohol.
Self-control, self-control........
